What you get to do every day
- Control inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
- Guarantee payments are processed
- Update customer files to ensure data integrity
- Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
- Ensure bankruptcy filings are processed in the correct manner when received
- Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
- Act as liaison in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
- Log all customer payments to the correct reports
- Direct all billing and reporting activities in accordance to deadlines
Requirements
- Practical knowledge of Billing Functions
- Earlier work involving electronic billing
- Background working with Computerized Billing
- Cash Collections experience highly desired
- Adeptness in AIA Billing
- Demonstrated knowledge of billing
- Good understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Consumer collections experience
- Solid understanding of Cash Collections
- Commercial collections experience required
- Commercial collections experience
- General familiarity with Billing Collection
- Billing System experience highly preferred
- 2 years of prior high volume collections experience
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
- Prior experience working with collections/accounting software
- Ability to analyze and make decisions on customer accounts
- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
