Robert Half is Hiring a Bookkeeper/Office Manager Near Sterling, VA

The ideal candidate for this position would possess a strong set of social skills and could easily collaborate with others. If this sounds like you, be sure to contact us. Based in the Sterling, Virginia region, this Bookkeeper role would be a short-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent position.
Major responsibilities
- Examine payments received and record deposits
- Assemble financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Supervise bookkeeping policies and procedures, along with developing a framework to track financial transactions with an established chart of accounts
- Sustain collections of historical records by organizing documents
- Be responsible for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Preside over and review general ledger
- Settle accounts by reconciling entries
**THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE, 25-30 HOURS A WEEK**
Requirements
- 2 years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
- Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Administrative Assistance
- Adeptness in Quarterly Taxes
- Bank reconciliations experience preferred
- bi-Monthly Payroll experience
- Experience with journal entries
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
- Prior experience using accounting software
