Description
Robert Half is looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to support a large public tax and accounting firm! This is a contract-to-hire role that is fully remote with occasional need to travel.

Part of a small App Support Team in this group - Core IT Services. This product group is responding for supporting common user issues - Windows OS, Office 365, etc.

• Tier 3 escalations related to end user computing issues.
• Work on integrating companies and their end users into the environment
• Application upgrades - work with vendors
• Testing new SW prior to deployments
• Participate or lead other projects related to end user commuting as they come up

Requirements
Must Haves:

• Project Experience: Participating on projects, leading junior team members in delivering their tasks, using project methodology to drive work by due date with high accountability.
• Analysis: Ability to articulate a problem (Current state, impact of current state, risks, next steps, potential solution)
• Solutioning: Ability to efficiently solution. Taking into consideration through research what has been tried, failed, and why. To look at longer feasibility with a high focus on user experience.
• Long Term Fit: Career goals related to Solution Architect or Product Owner, avoid traditional Infrastructure: network, platform, or security
• Process improvement: A continuous improvement mindset, identify areas for process improvement, recommend solutions, implement process changes, and measure their effectiveness.
• Team: Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members and leading by example through both technical and soft skills
• Presentation: Strong Executive presence with high level of confidence in front of executives in person and on video. Verbal and non-verbal
• Personal Accountability: Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and success of the team.
