Robert Half is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to develop and execute test plans and functional (Automated and Manual) use cases to ensure that products meet user needs and business requirements. Develops and maintains a testing strategy that includes design, execution, and documentation of test cases, defects tracking, and test coverage analysis. Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to enhance the overall effectiveness of system and overall solution testing strategies. Coordinates project resources including employees, contractors, remote testers at vendor location(s), in testing of various RH software and/or hardware solutions. Partners with IT Verticals and Business teams regularly to achieve system verification and validation objectives. Provides technical guidance to IT Verticals and Business teams regarding quality processes, tools, and methodologies to establish an effective and efficient quality culture. As a Senior QA Engineer, your specific responsibilities include: Oversees all testing activities, including planning, designing, scripting, execution, and reporting. Manages multiple diverse testing processes simultaneously for complex projects, defines formal scope/approach. Adapt and refine reporting metrics to suit particular, system/solution effort/audience. Coordinate the planning and estimation of the release work effort (functional and non-functional). Effectively communicate estimates, assumptions, benefits, and risks to all levels of management and scrum team Collaborate with technical experts, business systems analyst and product owners to review epics to provide high level estimates for future releases. Collaborate with technical experts, dev leads, business systems analyst and product owners to review stories to provide estimates on the sprint and project level. Assign test case scripting and execution tasks for testing resources throughout the agile release for complex projects Continually track progress against project deadlines and modify task delegation as needed Identify specific skillsets needed for onboarding resources Provides input to QA manager for testing resource needs Regularly reviews testing processes and recommends new processes and workflows as necessary to improve product quality and efficiency Represents QS and provides clarification/additional information for issues logged at issue review meetings attended by Senior Leadership Draws on in-depth experience with system verification and validation testing to write and maintain detailed test cases/scripts that are aligned with user and business needs; provides helpful feedback to other quality staff to ensure excellence in testing. Reviews and consults with business systems analysts and product managers on requirements, functional specifications, and user information to understand end user requirements and business process context Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field or certification or equivalent experience 5 years product testing and verification or related experience required Advanced experience with software test planning, execution and validation, and extensive experience with various testing tools and methods (such as SQL, Robot Framework, QTest, Jira, ServiceNow) Advanced experience in test environment managements, test collaboration, tools selection and implementation in a medium to large company with a global environment Advanced knowledge of business process and data flow identification and documentation Advanced testing application interfaces (API)and data conversion Advanced knowledge of a specific application/technology Advanced understanding of hardware architectures Experience with scripting preferred Experienced with industry standard code review practices. Experience managing testing in multiple Cloud (AWS preferred) based environments Extensive experience testing mobile applications, as required Intermediate experience with database types (Relational, Object Oriented, Graph), schema tables, triggers, and query language (SQL, SOQL) preferred. The typical salary range for this position is $90,000 to $132,000. The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
