Position also provides the opportunity for a non-CDL holder to obtain a CDL as part of the onboarding process. As a Training Specialist, you will assist the Senior Manager – Training with all facets of CDL training provided by the Company to its students. Such duties include but are not limited to: Assist in the interviewing and hiring of instructional personnel Oversee training of new hire instructors and training supervisors throughout the School Network Assist with curriculum/policy development and implementation Conduct regular quality assurance reviews and audits Conduct ongoing continuing education and training for instructional personnel Travel on a regular and as needed basis Qualifications Minimum associate degree or higher, preferably in the education sector or equivalent experience in a CDL training role at an educational institution or transportation company Possess a Class A CDL or the ability to obtain a Class A CDL through training by the Company upon hire Strong knowledge and understanding of training management with a focus on excellent customer service through leadership Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills Able to travel for initial and subsequent training and to provide support for locations as needed Possess strong leadership ability to perform the duties of managing, coordinating and directing training functions throughout the school network Ability to assist with the implementation and enforcement of established policies and procedures, and compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations relative to school network programs Werner Enterprises provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, marital status, genetic information or veteran status or other status protected by law.
