Start your Voyage – Apply Now Position Summary: Voya Financial is looking to hire a Marketing Consultant to execute marketing strategies that drive sales growth, client retention, retirement plan participation, customer engagement, and positive consumer outcomes. The ideal candidate will have some experience with LAD, but overall will have been in a role to influence marketing campaign strategies. Position Description: Develops and manages execution of marketing strategies for Retirement business segments and/or product team. This includes measurement of work (did it successfully drive outcome.) Collaboration with content development and management teams, consumer experience lead, cross-segment marketing director and leaders of specialized marketing hubs will be critical to individual’s success. Participates in the development of project and creative briefs. Develops standard work and processes including requesting, developing and ongoing management of marketing communications. Collaborates with content development and management teams, consumer experience lead, cross-segment marketing director and leaders of specialized marketing hubs to support and foster “One Retirement” inside of “One Voya”. Adopt, utilize and role model the CI Management System as part of everyday activities to drive behavior, facilitate and foster team collaboration & empowerment, and promote a problem solving culture. Manages the department’s budget. Other duties and projects as assigned. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or related discipline. Advanced professional degree a plus. 5-7 years relevant experience, preferably retirement related marketing, strategy and account management positions. Note senior role would have 7-10 years’ experience. Demonstrated success at marketing activities and ability to develop marketing strategies and creative briefs. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong ability to present plans and proposals in group and/or 1:1 settings. Demonstrated success in building relationship with executive management teams. In-depth knowledge of retirement industry, market, and products; experience in all media – print, video, digital ad copy. Able to use consumer and other insights in the development of marketing strategy and plans. Capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams. Prior experience working in a cross-functional role in a large corporation a decided plus. Comfort dealing with people across all levels of the organization. Strong presentation, communication and meeting facilitation skills. Good understanding of marketing planning process and activities. The ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure. Fiscal responsibility; able to manage significant budgets. The balance of good creative instincts with strong strategic capabilities/business acumen. Influencing abilities – polished, presence, able to articulate, preparedness, able to think on one’s feet. Strong work ethic and service mentality Please Note: This position allows remote work from home but will require travel to our Voya office as business requires.
