Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for the daily interactions with patients, maintaining patient schedule, headcounts and 24-hour observation of patient’s activities and locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

●Maintains daily observations of patients at various levels of care at the required time intervals

●Conduct all interactions in a professional and ethical manner.

●Follows facility regulations regarding infections control, incident reporting and risk management.

●Conducts point of care testing such as urine drug screens, pregnancy tests and breathalyzer

●Conduct on person body searches of all new clients during time of admissions

●Conducts searches of all patients belongs.

●Attends all mandatory trainings and meetings.

●Maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

●Transports patients in approved vehicles to approved events.

●Navigate basic computer skills

●Other duties and assignments as deemed qualified and appropriate.

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Valid Driver’s License

· At least 1 year of experience of working in the Behavioral Health field

· Ability to clearly communicate in various forms: verbal, written, text

· Understanding of the variety of community support groups (AA, Celebrate Recovery, ALANON, CODA, etc.)

· CPR Certification

· First Aid Certification
