Respnsibilities include:
Administration of respiratory care modalities/procedures upon the order of the physician in our Vent Unit.
Carrying out respiratory care procedures as outlined within acceptable standards and practices.
Walk-thru shift start/end clinical reports with on-coming respiratory personnel
sharing/receiving relevant and vital information for the effective resident plan of care.
Complying with Policy-Procedure regarding medical record documentation.
Demonstrates the required clinical skills to ensure safe and effective respiratory care therapy.
Ensuring timeliness of all treatments and ventilator clinical rounds surveillance.
Provides timely, accurate and effective resident respiratory evaluations in response to care needs.
Maintains infection control practices at all times inclusive of disposable supply changes.
Timely transport of respiratory residents within Facility & OOB assistance as needed.
Responding to continuous ventilator alarming within 15 second time interval.
Present friendly and caring bedside manner to all residents.
