Responsibilities

Admissions Coordinator

Our community has an opportunity for a driven, caring, passionate Admissions Coordinator. The Admissions Coordinator supports the admissions department’s activities in the pre-admission, admission, discharge, and follow-up processes. In this role, you will respond immediately and favorably to all inquiries to encourage on-site facility tours. You'll also maintain daily contact with potential referral sources including hospitals, physicians, insurers, case management companies and health care agencies, serve as a resource for member care planning activities, participate in direct and indirect member care activities as well as quality improvement activities and actively work with local community agencies to generate a positive image and encouraging word-of-mouth referral activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would preferably possess:

  • A high school diploma and at least one year of experience in a long-term skilled nursing facility
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, insurance and managed care processes
  • Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence and policy procedure manuals.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in statistical or diagram form.
  • Demonstrate ability to function independently and possess strong leadership skills.
  • Establish and maintain positive relations with residents, families, staff and visitors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
