The Opportunity

Rouse is hiring an experienced UI/UX designer to lead the overall design and visual direction of our growing portfolio of software products. The Designer will build, manage, and lead the creative and design process, collaborating with Executives, Product Managers, and Engineers to shape the user experience across our platform. Ideal candidates will have experience managing other designers and draw from a deep understanding of design systems, UI standards, and UI/UX best practices to create high-quality user experiences that our engineering team can deliver.

Overview:

  • Create sketches, journey maps, wireframes and prototypes that enable rapid product iteration and feature validation
  • Create high-fidelity UX deliverables and interactive prototypes for select features
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Build user-centered designs by synthesizing internal direction, market research, customer feedback, and technical constraints
  • Extend and improve our overall design system, including page templates, icon libraries, reusable app components, style guides, and brand standards
  • Participate in regular design reviews with Product Managers and stakeholders to articulate and justify design choices
  • Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with product teams and delivering design assets
  • Work closely with engineers to see designs through to deployment (including user acceptance testing)
  • Consider and balance technical limitations, business goals, and project timelines when making design decisions to ensure successful implementation and user satisfaction
  • Optimize designs based on user feedback
  • Independently stay on top of the latest UX design and technology trends

Position Requirements:
