Essential Job Functions:

• Compliance with all state, federal and local engineering laws, regulations and safety codes.
• Performs daily inspections and tests to ensure proper operations. Takes immediate remedial action to restore proper equipment operation and immediately informs Manager of same.
• Administrator of all engineering department paperwork. Manages and maintains all Engineering Dept. records, logs, stores, personnel records and paperwork.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and supplies. Requisitions items as necessary for stock control.
• Assists the Engineering Manager with all aspects of engineer operations.
• Enforces company and department policy/standards/goals.
• Maintains safety standards in coordination with other departments. Provides interdepartmental training or instruction as necessary.
• Provides proper supervision and guidance to ensure that good working relationships are maintained and that good morale is achieved among crew.
• Represents the company image in a positive manner and encourages the same of subordinates.
• Creates or updates policy for safe, efficient operations. Notifies affected parties when a deviation from the standard operation procedure is necessary.
• Promotes good working relations with other departments so that problems are more easily resolved.
• Responsible for maintaining all engineer systems and fixtures are to company standards including interior and exterior.
• Provide service to internal and external customers which reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation and Recognition. (S.T.A.R.)

• Must have ability to meet tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Marine Operations and/or Security departments during times of emergency or otherwise, as required of the crew.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience Required: Casino vessel, supervisory and administrative experience
• Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent
• Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Must be able to understand and comply with all departmental, company and government agency regulations. Must demonstrate adequate computer literacy for the position. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Must represent the Engineering Department in a positive manner at all times. Must demonstrate basic understanding of engineering principles and operations.
• Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Must be able to obtain Indiana Gaming Commission Occupational License - Level 3
