RISE Services Inc. is a non-profit organization that is powered by relationships, connection, and community. We provide in person-centered mentoring to individuals throughout Utah experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities.

We are seeking a part time (5-7 hrs a week) SSW. Must have a SSW License with the state of Utah.

Responsible for initial compliance of our professional parent and host homes to ensure homes and interested families meet all state licensing requirements prior to receiving a placement. Also responsible for the annual review of homes where children are placed. Provides guidance to directors and coordinators when licensing issues/questions occur.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Administer home studies for potential foster and host homes in accordance with Utah Licensing Rules.
• Participate in annual audit process to ensure home compliance.
• Train Professional Parents regarding state and RISE compliance requirements as needed.
• Maintain documentation and reports required to support licensing processes.
• Travel including Ogden, Salt Lake and Utah County.

Minimum Qualifications:

• SSW License
• Organized and self-directed, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass the Background Clearance required by contract.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software including MS Office.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

• Ability to greet the public, use the telephone and effectively communicate with multiple customers including the people RISE supports, parents, the state, staff, and others.
• Required to use a cell phone.
• Occasional travel to attend meetings/trainings..
• Ability to work under stressful conditions that may include dealing with difficult people and handling multiple work assignments.
