PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Experienced equipment operator having the ability to follow oral AND written instructions and specifications.
This position requires the ability to operate a variety of outdoor equipment such as backhoes, cable plows, dozers, directional drills, etc. Must perform all general laborer duties as needed.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Operate a variety of equipment in a safe & productive manner
2.) Maintain tools and equipment
3.) Hand dig to locate utilities
4.) Maintain daily inspection logs & graph logs
5.) Load and unload equipment from trailer
6.) Know all utilities & obstructions in work area
7.) Assist in maintaining onsite equipment
8.) Ground restoration
9.) General clean up
10.) Provide accurate daily timekeeping
11.) Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1.) Out of town travel as required
2.) Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
3.) Ability to lift 75 lbs.
4.) Ability to kneel, squat, bend and twist as needed
5.) Ability to differentiate locate color codes
6.) Ability to operate a variety of equipment
7.) Ability to read maps and prints
8.) Must have a current valid drivers license/CDL preferred
9.) Must maintain a current health certificate
10.) Must perform prescribed job function in a timely and efficient manner

MACHINE/TOOLS USED:
Semi Truck, Various trailers, Dozers, Skid Steer Loader, Compressors, Directional Drill, Other tools/equipment as needed

TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in operation of equipment preferred
New Hire on the job training for up to 2 weeks or as needed with an experienced employee
Training with the company safety coordinator prior to working out in the field
Daily instructions and directions from the company's foreman/supervisor

Continuous equipment training from an experienced company foreman/equipment operators (when required)
Continuous vehicle training from an experienced company foreman/equipment operators (when required)
Knowledge of company's policies and procedures
Participate in weekly toolbox meeting
