POSITION

The Supply Chain Director, North America leads the supply chain function for North America including demand planning, production planning, distribution planning, stock management, logistics and transport, trade compliance, customer support and repairs.

1. Lead the Supply chain Planning process and the local Sales & Operations Planning process (S&OP)

  • Lead the Demand Planning Team to elaborate an accurate forecast at SKU level, taking into account relevant market events (in past and future) and strategies. Interact with Global Demand planning team to challenge the forecast and align.
  • Report and communicate on sales performance and forecasting accuracy.
  • Manage the manufacturing needs and production plan, together with Central team, considering material availability and manufacturing capacity.
  • Optimize the distribution plan from factory until Hubs, and from Hubs to stores, wholesale partners and clients; monitor and trade-off product availability and stock cover, sell-through and obsolescence, across distribution channels.
  • Lead the local S&OP process by establishing a consensus on Demand Plan in quantity and value for the region across product categories, product life cycle, distribution channels and countries (USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil) in strong collaboration with Finance, Sales and Merchandising regional teams. Manage the alignment of the production capacity and supply plan with Demand plan, together with Central team.
  • Fuel value creation by bringing Novelty efficiently to the market, and by maintaining scalability of operations.

2. Guide Logistics, Transport, and Customs Operations

  • Set the mid-long-term strategy and provide guidance to the Logistics and Transport Manager, in order to achieve and maintain flawless execution, while controlling the unit economics and total budget.
  • Consolidate relationship with Logistics partners, animate their performance, and anticipate future business needs. Ensure accuracy of the stock (system = physical) and assess network capacity (e.g. storage back of house) across hubs and points of sales.
  • Drive strategy to develop and enhance a consistent network of transport suppliers to fit each channel and omnichannel business needs (including last miles). In collaboration with Global Logistics & Transportation Team, review continuously the design of the network, to adapt to business challenges and optimize costs. Make sure business continuity plans are prepared and tested.
  • Monitor execution of a broad range of import/export compliance matters; facilitate cross-function collaboration with sales, manufacturing, purchasing, legal, tax teams, and external partners, to drive import/export compliance across the supply chain. Lead the development of creative and best-in-class trade compliance business processes that scale.

3. Manage Customer Support and Sales Administration

  • Monitor service level, accuracy, and priorities in processing finished goods orders from internal and external clients.
  • Enable Department Stores’ EDI-compliance, charge-backs resolution, and smooth communication with Logistics.
  • Animate the performance of Customer Support Specialists, identify training and knowledge management needs, request appropriate automation and accompany its adoption.

PROFILE

  • 8 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Engineering, or relevant functional experience is required.
  • 4 years of experience managing a team
  • Successful track record of meeting the project objectives by successfully managing, monitoring, and implementing strategies encompassing scope, quality, time and cost.
  • Demonstrated ability of managing operational details and execution, while also understanding big picture
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships and influence cross-functional leaders
  • Strong analytical and critical skills
  • Ability to simplify and communicate on complex topics
  • Practical, innovative, and agile mindset
  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft Excel and data crunching in general
  • Skilled with Microsoft Power BI. Knowledge of Anaplan and CEGID is a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Additional Responsibilities:

4. Oversee Client Care activities

  • Ensure Client Satisfaction and drive programs to improve the overall Client Experience, by monitoring speed of response to repairs inquiries and claims, by shortening the repair lead-time, and by deescalating clients’ situations whenever needed.
  • Provide guidance to the Client Care Manager, to maximize repair network productivity and spare part supply chain efficiency, with attention to detail, cost, revenue, lifetime warranty policy and sustainability.

5. Community, Project & Development

  • Lead the deployment of the supply chain projects roadmap in the region
  • Show initiative to create new strategies and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to anticipate strategic changes and risks, represent business and operations’ needs, also in terms of automation and scalability.
  • Contribute to development of the Supply Chain knowledge in the region.
  • Create potential synergies with other brands of LVMH group.
  • Participate to Supply Chain network communities.
  • Develop and Retain talents, accompany changes, nurture adherence to corporate values, including Diversity & Inclusion, and continuously seeking the maximum sustainability.
