Position Summary

We are currently seeking a full-time System Administrator to be able to work in a remote company atmosphere to install, configure, and maintain enterprise application software, as well as perform software installations and upgrades to application servers and layered software packages. This position is a remote opportunity, with the ability to work from home most days, but does require that candidates live within the Treasure Valley to be available to operate in our Boise Office on an as needed basis.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities with the IT Manager
  • Administer cloud-based networks and systems
  • Administer IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS based enterprise applications
  • Document processes and troubleshooting steps for knowledge base articles utilized by other IT Support members.
  • Assist in research and procurement of firm wide software and hardware solutions.
  • Communicate with users to understand, identify, document, and resolve problems.
  • Provide telephone, in-person, and online support to end-users.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Azure and O365, Citrix, Active Directory.


Essential Capabilities

  • Measures and maintains capacity and utilization and notifies business when utilization exceeds established limits
  • Provide overall administration to ensure that system's integrity and security are not compromised
  • Maintain scaled-out enterprise software research, implementation, and ongoing support
  • Methodically analyze and solve problems; analyze, develop, and execute test plans
  • Develop process and application system documentation
  • Determine and implement functional requirements
  • Windows Server administration
  • Troubleshooting server and desktop software
  • Ability to work independently with careful attention to detail.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to balance priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and be a team player who is highly motivated.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT administration.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and installing Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with installing and managing cloud-based resources in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Experience with backup and recovery processes.
