Description

The Mechanical Engineer will work collaboratively with a multi-functional team to develop e-bike products. This person will oversee testing prototypes to ensure they function correctly and will have experience in the manufacturing industry and a proven ability to create innovative solutions that meet client needs.

• Experience with the development of concepts for highly complex mechanical or electro-mechanical challenges.
• Brainstorm and collaborate with other teammates to solve the most complex problems with innovative solutions.
• Manage the concept projects, including seeking for fastest ways to prototype and proof the ideas.
• Own and execute from the first sketch, over 3D modeling, fabricating samples to the functional model that can be reviewed.
• Own your projects from beginning to end, keeping in mind scope, cost, quality, and timelines.
• Accept that sometimes difficult decisions need to be made even if you disagree.
• If needed, manage the approved concept further into production readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 years of Mechanical Engineering experience, industrial/manufacturing/automotive a big plus
• Robust design and development skills
• Fast 3D modeler, highly preferred using CREO (Pro/E)
• Bicycle tech knowledge and a passion for e-bikes a plus
• Basic electronic knowledge is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mentality rounded by a high level of creativity
• Clear communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs/challenges
• Ability/flexibility to work in a multi-cultural environment and across different time zones
• Willingness to travel if needed (US, Asia, Europe)
