Rice Companies is offering up to $2500 Sign-On Bonus for this position!

The Concrete Foreman supervises, manages, coordinates, and works alongside concrete crew to oversee all activities involving concrete work. Emphasis on ensuring highest quality control, work safety practices, maintaining on-time scheduling and budgeting. The Concrete Foreman serves as the lead for Rice Companies self-performing concrete activities. Experience must include the ability to layout work, control grade, tie rebar, place forms (including vertical forms), as well as place and finish concrete. All work is in a commercial/industrial setting.

ON-SITE REQUIREMENTS

• Concrete forming
• Rebar installation
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications
• Train less experienced employees
• Shoot grades and elevations
• Place and tie steel, create footings, walls and slabs ensuring they are correctly measured and excavated accurately
• Perform light concrete finishing
• Presents and maintains a professional appearance and demeanor throughout daily interactions with owners, customers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, and all Rice Companies personnel.
• When required, records and submits daily project reports of all subcontractors, suppliers or Rice Companies assigned work. Consult Daily Reporting SOP for more info/direction.
• Builds and maintains effective relationships with owners, customers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other Rice Companies employees.
• Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, documents and rectifies job site hazards immediately. 
• Verify requested changes by owner or others to the Project Foreman, Project Superintendent and/or Project Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Five (5) years of experience in building with concrete
• Equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklifts, boom lifts, skid steer, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency of construction tools and equipment, including but not limited to saws, drills, levels, transits, hand tools, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans/prints
• Self-starter, highly motivated and goal-oriented individual with leadership skills
• Valid driver’s license and insurable to operate Rice Companies vehicles and equipment
• Working knowledge of both State/Federal Building Codes
• Occasional lifting of over 50 pounds without assistance
• Overnight travel required.
