Ricardo Defense is Hiring an IT Support Technician Near Troy, MI

Description

Ricardo Defense is currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join our growing team in Troy, Michigan. The chosen IT Support Technician candidate will manage and deploy corporate device imaging, provide Level 1 Help Desk support, and coordinate with internal teams to address technical issues. In addition, this IT Support Technician will also work closely with IT and HR to set up desktop solutions for employees, liaise with vendors for desktop equipment and software problems, ensure information security, and participate in network and hardware projects. This IT Support Technician role involves meeting client hardware requirements, supporting client applications, training users, assisting in IT asset tracking, and creating IT-related documentation. Other tasks may also be assigned as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, Maintain, Deploy corporate imaging of devices
  • Level 1 Help Desk support for internal company users
  • Coordinate with internal IT staff and users to resolve all technical issues and escalate if required to ensure smooth business application processes through the internal ticketing system
  • Coordinate with IT and HR staff to install and configure desktop solutions for new on-site and off-site users
  • Collaborate with vendor support contacts to resolve all issues for desktop equipment and software applications
  • Coordinate with the IT team and assist in maintaining that all information is secure
  • Assist IT team in network and hardware projects Meet all client hardware requirements and verify to fulfill service level agreements (SLAs)Install and support client applications and train all users to use applications appropriately
  • Collaborate with and provide assistance to the IT Staff when needed
  • Support IT asset tracking, receiving, tagging, recording, and assigning computing, telecommunications, and mobile assets
  • Documentation Specialist for the creation and maintenance of IT related documentation, and How To/Help instructions
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT) or related field from an accredited college or university is required
  • A minimum of two-years of relevant Level 1 Help Desk Support
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Government Secret Security Clearance and Common Access Card (CAC). The minimum requirement to obtain a Security clearance is United States Citizenship. Applicants that do not meet these requirements will not be considered
  • Knowledge of Windows, Windows Server, and Linux
  • Knowledge of hardware such as but not limited to desktops, laptops, and printers
  • A Certification, Security Certification is a plus
  • Self-starter with a desire to eliminate wasteful activities and create world-call operations
  • Must have excellent communication skills
