Business Unit: Global Distribution Operations Job Description: The Business Intelligence (BI) team within the Global Distribution organization is responsible for aligning the firm’s sales focus with our highest impact solutions and improving execution through targeted data-driven management. Specifically, the BI team is responsible for digitizing our sales processes using CRM and other related tools to drive the entire customer journey on a globally consistent basis and supporting the integration and enhancement of the firm’s Go-To-Market (GTM) architecture design, data, and technology. In addition to improving our user experience, the team is responsible for improving the firm’s global business and sales reporting and analytics. We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual with strong organizational skills to join the BI team. The Business Intelligence Analyst will play a vital role in managing and improving the team’s systems, data, infrastructure, and business processes, as well as delivering analytical and client servicing support. The Analyst will assist with data management, strategic collateral development, client service support, business analytics and reporting on key metrics and business drivers for executive decision making. The Analyst is responsible for the acquisition, processing, integration, transformation, and maintenance of business data for our global sales organization with an emphasis on transforming raw data into actionable insights. The Analyst will interface and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including sales, operations, technology, finance, marketing, investments, research, third party vendors and custodians. The role will report to the Director, Head of Global Business Intelligence. The responsibilities of the individual in this position include: Responsible for improving effectiveness and efficiency through end-to-end management of data – acquisition, processing, integration, transformation, and maintenance of business data for our global institutional and retail organization with an emphasis on transforming raw data into actionable insights Play a vital role in managing and improving the team’s systems, data, infrastructure, and business processes, and in delivering impactful business analytics, data visualization solutions, and client servicing and data operations support Work with ambiguity such as imperfect data sets, loosely defined ideas and complex goals and translate them into more tangible and cohesive outputs Own data management at the point of consumption and collaborate with teams to resolve data issues affecting management reporting and business operations Create a clean data structure to allow for easy data querying for dashboards and any other reporting needs Create streamlined, transparent and globally consistent processes to manipulate data into final reporting analytics; Improve current reporting and analytics processes through development of automation, UI improvements and self-service capabilities Work closely with IT, Sales Management, Sales Operations, Project Management Office, and Data Strategy team to define project requirements and drive implementation of sales technology and data warehouse-related data initiatives requiring IT and business resources Work across teams to identify the authoritative data sources for relevant KPIs, develop a process to integrate and map different data sources, and manipulate data into high impact metrics and visualizations in a timely manner for leadership consumption Perform market research, collect market data, consolidate datasets and standardize them into consistent, holistic and easily consumable format Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams including data teams, developers, QA, production support, controllers, operations, sales, marketing, finance, Investment Division, etc. Contribute effectively at various points in a project life cycle as an individual contributor or as a project lead The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or a related Information Technology/Engineering discipline 3 years work experience in business analytics and reporting; previous work experience in the financial services industry is a plus 2 years work experience with and strong knowledge of Excel, SQL and relational databases is required Knowledge of technical system requirements and operational processes and procedures in an asset management, management consulting, financial services, or sales organization is strongly preferred Strong experience with data integration, system consolidation, data management, and business reporting Experience in Python and/or R is a big plus Experience with data visualization and business intelligence systems such as Power BI or Tableau is a big plus Experience with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce is a plus Experience with Machine Learning (ML) / Artificial Intelligence (AI) related advanced analytics is a plus Experience with data, data architecture, modeling, trends analysis, and statistics Experience with data analysis using various scripting languages, tools, and/or platforms Strong experience leading strategic initiatives – soliciting, documenting requirements, and liaising between internal/external business and technology teams Strong attention to data quality, detail, and accuracy;
