Basic Function:
The FP&A Sr Manager/Manager role is a critical part of Finance, responsible for leading financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis. This is a highly visible role that partners with business leadership to provide financial guidance and support to achieve the company’s strategic and financial goals. Teamwork, communication, and analytical skills are required as well as a self-starter who works well independently and under tight deadlines. This position is a hybrid-role.
Specific Responsibilities:
-Manage the financial budget, forecast, and actualization process.
-Prepare and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly internal and external reporting.
-Work with each business unit to develop financial targets, metrics, and reporting to facilitate the strategic plans of the company.
-Drive the annual preparation of long-range financial plans.
-Provide ad-hoc analysis to provide insights that influence strategies and investment decisions to maximize profitability.
-Review and manage all department level expenses, ensuring that forecasted and actualized expenses align to expectations in order to achieve the company’s financial goals.
-Partners with the Accounting team for balance sheet projections and managing operating cash flow.
-Ensure effective financial processes; support a continuous improvement environment identifying and implementation new or enhanced processes, with current or future tools.
-Act as project lead for FP&A technology and/or process improvement projects.
Qualifications and Competencies:
-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 7 years of financial planning and analysis experience or Advanced Degree from an accredited university and 5 years financial planning and analysis experience.
-Creative thinker with a willingness to challenge the current way of doing things; ability and willingness to drive change and think out of the box.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work with senior management or department/business unit leaders.
-Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial metrics into operational insight.
-Experience coaching and mentoring employees.
-Proficient in Microsoft applications, experience with Tableau or Planful a plus.
-Retail/wholesale industry experience preferred.
