Revive Ministries is Hiring a HR Manager Near Nicholasville, KY

REPORTS TO: Director of Finance & HR FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Director of Finance & HR, The Human Resources Manager is responsible for multiple employer/employee tasks including, but not limited to on-boarding, recruiting, off-boarding, employee file maintenance, benefit enrollment, payroll submissions, training, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, HIPPA, as well as internal/external HR related communications.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintain all employee files paper and/or electronic, including retention thereof.
  2. Learn and operate with great functionality all HR related computer systems and on-line portals used by company. Including administration, training, implementation, updating, research and problem solving.
  3. Payroll: verifying and submitting payroll to our payroll processing company. Communicate with payroll company on any payroll related information such as, but not limited to deductions, garnishments, changes in exemptions, terminations, new hires, address changes and compensation changes.
  4. Onboarding: Completing process in bambooHR, working with reporting manager to create a “first week” schedule with appropriate personnel, communicating with all appropriate personnel regarding the needs of the new hires position. Follow up with each to make sure everything is ready for day 1 on the job.
  5. Benefits: Enrolling, terminating, communicating with both staff and benefit brokers on processes and status regarding all benefit offerings. Including open enrollment as well as individual enrollments/terminations.
  6. Processing and Reporting: FMLA, ADA, OSHA, HIPAA, meeting all requirements of compliance.
  7. Recruiting: Working with management on open positions; posting jobs, screening applicants, scheduling and participating in the interview process.
  8. Training: Relias Training platform, keeping up to date, tracking and administration
  9. All levels of involvement in employee/management discussions as appropriate. Including but not limited to performance reviews, disciplinary discussions and PIP’s, and terminations.
  10. Offboarding, regardless of reason, processing all necessary paperwork and documentation surrounding the termination of employment. Including but not limited to Unemployment, benefit terminations, working with IT do stop all access to company systems and collecting company property.
  11. Communicate with all HR related vendors and or providers.
  12. Verify all HR related billing statements and submit to finance (i.e., medical insurance, dental, administration bills)
  13. All other duties as assigned

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. Strong communication skills with all levels of recipients, whether in training, employee relations, vendor relations and/or community relations.
  2. Good working knowledge of current employment laws and regulations and the ability to research such information and supply appropriate reporting and processing. Including but not limited to FMLA; ADA, OSHA, EEOC, DOL.
  3. Advanced computer skills. PC/Word processing/database/spreadsheets/systems and integrating the advanced skills to produce complex reports and documents.
  4. Ability to learn, understand and implement new systems
  5. Ability to apply the concepts of customer service in the workplace.
  6. Ability to use good professional judgment and discernment
  7. Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision.
  8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines. 
  9. Ability to meet short and long-term goals and project deadlines.
  10. Ability to recognize and work within appropriate boundaries with employees, clients, vendors and community
  11. Respect for the confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including but not limited to client/employee records and documents, and electronic transmission by voice, data, and wire.
  12. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  13. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  14. Problem solving and solution driven
  15. General office administration and organization skills

BACKGROUND/EDUCATION:

  1. BS in Business Administration and/or 3 years in a concentrated Humana Resource Management role
  2. PHR or SPHR Certification a plus
