As a member of the Revenue Analytics Technology team, the Software Architect is expected to lead the full stack technical design, development, and implementation for products and solutions. They also lead and mentor junior Team Members. Software Architects work directly with the Customer Strategy & Success team leads as well as the Science team leads to deliver world class products and solutions for complex business problems. Software Architects also engage and build relationships with customer teams.

A Day in the Life

• Owns overall plan for all technical components of a project including design, development, and implementation
• Leads cross-functional teams to identify and assess issues, evaluate potential solutions, and align on actions and expectations
• Advocates for process and SDLC improvement through involvement in process development, research, and contributes to process discussions
• Conducts code review for peers and junior Team Members and ensures unit test coverage satisfies product standards
• Establishes self as a subject matter and technical expert within the Product and Technology team
• Creates new technologies and frameworks for driving RA’s technology strategy
• Distills and documents knowledge gained from customer engagement and communicates to the Product team
• Guides cross‐functional team alignment by raising issues, soliciting feedback from other team members, and testing assumptions
• Collaborates with cross‐functional peers, both internally and externally, to design customer solutions
• Mentors junior and cross‐functional Team Members, and invests in each other’s success
• Provides technical and thought leadership and leads technical initiatives
• Builds professional network to facilitate current and future business development
• Implements, teaches, and ensures adherence to RA standards, ensuring company wide initiatives are successful
• Completes administrative activities in a consistent and timely manner

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field and 4 years of relevant technical experience or a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant technical experience
• 3 years in a technical/team lead or Architect role
• Strong CS fundamentals and fluent in several programming languages, including Python
• 4 years with object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complex analysis
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, SaaS solutions, and solution frameworks
• AWS certification preferred
• Must also have experience designing, building, and optimizing front‐end applications, Angular preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
• Strong problem solving & analytical skills
• Ability to structure and analyze large data sets
• Knowledge of Pandas and Flask frameworks preferred
• Experience working with and strong fundamental understanding of relational databases; PostgreSQL preferred
• User and administrative experience or knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
• Experience with big data platforms (AWS, Athena, Hadoop, etc.)
• Prior experience with direct customer interaction in a SaaS based environment preferred
