As an Operations Manager, you’ll lead the operations team responsible for keeping our mopeds well-maintained and our customers happy. You are directly responsible for the San Francisco market reporting to the Head of SF Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team tasked with maintaining, cleaning and charging our mopeds around San Francisco
• Plan operational strategy on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to increase revenue per vehicle, operational vehicle count, and reduce ticket costs
• Weekly scheduling of staff and approving timesheets and PTO
• Act as Manager on Duty, including running shifts as needed
• Accountable for the safety, quality, and availability of our vehicles
• Accountable for budget and daily/weekly KPIs to Head of Operations
• Holding their team and individuals accountable for performance
• Continually analyze, improve, and set best practices for maintaining our fleet
• Prioritize issues reported by our Customer Experience team
• Recruit, hire, and onboard/train new operations associates
• Work closely with our Marketing, Biz Ops, and Policy teams on local communication and marketing events
• Communicate map closures and weather closures in a timely manner
• Maintain vendor relationships and facilitate forms of communication with finance to properly pay under individual pay cycles

Requirements:

• 5 years of professional work experience in transportation, operations, logistics or similar fast-paced work setting
• 2 years of experience having 5 direct reports
• Can quickly identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High energy and able to motivate and manage any personality type
• Can articulate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
• Experience maintaining vehicles and/or a strong mechanical aptitude
• Adaptable, decisive, and able to juggle competing priorities
• Ability to work weekends and evenings and be available during off hours
• Able to lift 60 pounds and operate a vehicle (van or moped) with a valid driver license
