Physical Therapist

In this role, you'll be responsible for independentlyevaluating, determining treatment strategies, delivering and/or delegatingservices that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolongedphysical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This roleencompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, andtherapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise, and otherprocedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluationinvolves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain,balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait andfunctional abilities in activities of daily living.

Within our facility, you may work with patients who have:

• Traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries
• Multi-system organ failure
• Chronic/Acute respiratory failure
• Ventilators and require weaning
• Stroke,
• Major Multiple trauma
• Amputation
• Neurological disorders

Qualifications:

In order to work at our facility as a Physical Therapist, youwill need:

• To be licensed by the appropriate State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
• CPR certification

A few things that aren't required, but we would prefer:

• At least 2 years of direct patient care experience
• Experience in a multidisciplinary acute care setting
