Description

Position Summary

Perform duties related to finishing and shipping preparation of fabricated and assembled parts. Duties, include surface preparation for painting, painting of fabricated parts, and shipment preparation. Additional duties include saw cutting of raw materials and light assembly.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting, including sandblasting
• Panting of fabricated metal parts
• Shipment preparation of parts and assemblies, including pallet supports and building crates
• Operate crane, hoist or power truck
• Load, unload, lift and move materials
• Use a variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments
• Prepare raw material for fabrication, including saw cutting
• Perform light assembly of parts
• Replenish supplies
• Other manufacturing and assembly duties as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness and organization according to safety guidelines.
• Be an active team member in the manufacturing plant and assist other employees.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Education

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Painting experience preferred
• Basic carpentry skills and experience
• Able to drive forklifts, use overhead and jib cranes, and knowledge of rigging.
