Overview

Virtual Care Coordinator Position Summary:Interface with patients/customers via telecommunications prior to, during and after appointments. Overall job responsibilities include checking patients in and out, collecting copays, going over insurance benefits, and scheduling follow up appointments as needed. You will work with internal teams including Care Coordinators, Clinic Directors, and Regional Directors to assist with customer service and scheduling efforts and coverage needed at other clinics. Candidate will work closely with and report to Regional Office Manager.

Qualifications

Skills/Experience:

Required:

• Candidate must be friendly and enjoy helping others
• Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment
• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system
• Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public

• Schedule patient appointments using established
• Perform data entry of protected health
• Collect and document patient
• Operate multi-line phone
• Fax, mail and file medical records and other sensitive
• Communicate effectively with clinic and billing staff regarding patient
• Communicate effectively with referring providers and their office
• Participate in educational activities and attend staff
• Maintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
