Resident Aide/Caregiver Responsibilities:

General Duties for each shift:

• Receive report from previous shift
• Check MAR in your building for any new orders
• Assist residents to get up and ready for the day including personal care and activities of daily living
• Administer medication according the MAR
• Document in residents charts as indicated
• Document for each resident as needed
• Assist with food service preparation and serving meals as needed – Clean up and wipe off tables between meals.
• Pass waters, collect trash, provide towels, make beds, and assist with laundry
• Provide light house cleaning as needed
• Monthly weights and vital signs
• Complete showers and bed changes according to schedule in book
• Answer call lights
• Inform the nurse of any PRN Medication that is given and also when HOLDING Medications
