Compensation: Market Rate Competitive Compensation, Bonuses, Benefits and Equity

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly financial statements and monitoring budgets to ensure the optimal performance of all business units. 
• Responsible for daily cash management for all business units.
• Responsible for approving purchase orders and disbursing vendor payments as directed by Management.
• Negotiate the best price and terms with contractors and vendors on behalf of the company.
• Manage A/P team and ensure timely approvals of invoices and payments.
• Manage regular reporting to include variances and historical/year to date comparisons to budget, organizational goals, and industry standards. 
• Lead the preparation of all-encompassing budgets, financial forecasts, and assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals. 
• Responsible for defining and implementing best practices for property accounting. 
• Responsible for directing and controlling the work of the property accounting staff
• Manages and oversees year-end accounting and reporting. 
• Responsible for bad debt recovery. 

Qualifications, Skills & Background:

• 3 or more years of experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager 
• Multifamily experience preferred but not required
• Fund experience preferred
• Strong analytical and communication skills. 
• Knowledge of Yardi (or similar industry software) preferred
• Proven track record of advanced Excel skills. 
• Proven track record managing and developing budgets
• Superior negotiation skills
