The Senior Engineer I - II is a problem solver who loves diving into complex business processes and finding solutions through software and innovation. This role is critical to the success of our technology at StickerGiant and will help guide decision making around solutions. Your focus will be on creating an incredible user experience end to end through our customer journey and for our internal employees (Giants) on the backend delivery of the custom stickers and labels we sell. StickerGiant has been not-so-quietly disrupting the sticker and label industry from the minute the first laser dropped on our doorstep. Almost a decade later, we have more lasers in operation than any other sticker/label manufacturer in the country. We achieved this through strategic innovation, risk taking, and priding ourselves as a top learning organization in the industry. We see event-driven architecture, the automation of manufacturing processes, and custom internal tools as foundations needed to firmly affix Stickergiant as not only the leader in our industry, but a continued disrupter to the entire print market. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work collaboratively with our engineering team to build useful internal tools
  • Contribute to architecture discussions around microservices that power our software systems
  • Help solve and discover problems with our software and our internal working processes
  • Participate in the design and implementation of frontend experiences for our systems
  • Troubleshoot production issues when they happen
  • Review and discuss the code being developed by the team at large

EXPERIENCE

  • 4 years developing software in production environments
  • Skilled with object oriented languages such as Java, Kotlin or C#
  • Javascript and/or Typescript Experience
  • Experience building in React is a big plus
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Firm understanding of SOLID principles
  • Familiarity with start-ups and e-commerce web design is a plus
  • Previous experience with distributed services or microservices.
  • Understanding of refactoring code and staying in front of technical debt.

POSITION SCHEDULE DETAILS

  • Full-time position and hybrid/remote
  • Monday - Friday (40 hours/week) 8am - 4pm MST
  • Very infrequent weekend work may be required
  • You may be asked to report onsite occasionally for team gatherings or key meetings
