Case Managers work as part of the clinical team to ensure the best care for all clients. They work under the direction of the Clinical Director to collaborate with each client’s Primary Therapist in developing the best treatment plan for their care. They meet with client’s one-on-one to provide guidance and direction, as well as act as the liaison between the clients’ families and their treatment team, which may include additional psychiatrists, specialty therapists, and other doctors and professionals. They are each families’ main contact person (in addition to their Primary Therapist), while their loved one is in treatment under our care. They provide necessary insight to the rest of the team about each client’s programmatic progress and provide their recommendations for their care to Senior Management. Case Managers have a lot of autonomy in terms of the clinical/programmatic decisions they make for their cases such as whether or not they believe the client is ready to “level up,” what restrictions should be imposed, etc.; while being in complete communication with the rest of the team and getting support from Senior Management where appropriate. Case Managers employ Motivational Interviewing techniques and evidence-based practices as outlined in our Policies & Procedures. This position requires individuals who are level-headed, can hold appropriate boundaries, think on their feet, and have a great rapport with clients and a high level of communication skills. They are committed members of the clinical team, looking to further their careers in this field.
