Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Research and Development Solutions, Incorporated (RDSI) has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to provide financial management and analysis support to the RDSI Senior Finance Manager in support of several Department of Defense (DoD) projects. Taskings include budget development; tracking and reporting; trend analysis; and development of future projections. The successful candidates’ skills will be developed under the guidance of the Senior Finance Manager.

Qualifications

Must have experience with one or more of the following work areas:

  • Basic cost estimating, budget preparation, and managing labor reporting and expenditure tracking on weekly and monthly basis.
  • Assist in analyzing and evaluating changes in program plans and funding profiles for financial and budget milestones.
  • Understanding of extracting budget and programmatic quantitative data from Costpoint (or similar) reporting systems for analysis, forecasting, and reporting to ensure proper use and execution of program funds.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar related field is highly desired. A lesser degree, with additional directly-related experience or training, may be considered. (Candidates within six months of degree completion will be considered.)
  • Must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and contribute to the team’s success.
  • Customer Service oriented.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks under the supervision of Senior Finance Manager with the goal of working independently and the ability to set priorities.
  • A strong, working knowledge of relevant computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint a plus
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearance
