Overview and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include calling on all open invoices, working with insurance adjusters, homeowners, or businesses for payment. Create late payment letters and send to customers as needed, as well as processing files for lien filings. Help with other clerical tasks in the office as needed which includes learning invoicing and billing. A background in collections and phone work is critical for this role.

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for all account’s receivable activity
• Receive payments and close out invoices in QuickBooks
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
• Keep records and status of each invoice
• Timely response to e-mails and phone messages
• Send out letters when payment is 30, 60, 90 days late, as well as lien notifications letters
• Process files with attorney for liens
• File liens at courthouse
• Effectively communicate issues to management
• Cross train on billing and other clerical duties
• Help with any special projects

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• 2 years of college preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of experience
• Previous collections experience preferred
• High attention to detail
• Ability to identify/ resolve problems and document outcome
• Excellent note taking skills
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Initiative to learn new tasks
• Bilingual a plus English/Spanish or English/ Polish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
