Description

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of Reschcor’s Quality System.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure that Reschcor’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, and ISO standards
  • Partner with Reschcor’s customers to develop product requirements and assure our customer’s success. Including ISIR, PPAP, Sample submissions, Deviation approvals, Corrective actions, RMA, Customer evaluations and feedback
  • Participates in the review of APQP (product design, manufacturing, and tests) to assure conformance to customer’s standards. Reviews and oversees implementation of engineering change notices and related document change control
  • Maintains and reports out on the performance of the QMS. (Results of Internal and external audits, Corrective actions, preventative actions, support issues)
  • Maintains Reschcor customer quality handbooks from those customers providing them
  • Work with all departments while monitoring, measuring and reviewing all processes to ensure the quality of Reschcor’s product conforms to our customer’s specifications
  • Oversee all inspection processes ensuring the right quality is delivered to Reschcor’s customer
  • Responsible for the development, training, and corrective actions of direct reports
  • Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection / calibration of monitoring and measurement devices and QC lab equipment
  • Employee training on Reschcor’s QMS, internal work instructions, policy and procedure
  • Develop and maintain all Reschcor internal work instructions and policies/procedures relating to Quality
  • Performs other quality control functions as necessary or as requested
  • Participates in Quality Council

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or another related field.
  • Lean/Six Sigma training/certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment required.
  • Plastics manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to delegate work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal communication skills: Speaks clearly, positively and persuasively; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions.
  • Excellent written communication: Writes clearly and informatively; able to interpret written information; presents technical presentations effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer specifications.
  • ASQ certification is preferred
  • Previous team leadership / supervisory experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with ISO-9000 requirements
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow company rules and policies as outlined in employee’s handbook and Reschcor Core Values.

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be required for this position.

Physical Requirements

  • Considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
