Repligen is Hiring a Remote Marketing Manager

Overview

The Marketing Manager for fluid management will lead the development and execution of the marketing strategy, tactics and campaigns for the Repligen fluid management business unit to generate demand and brand preference. This position will be a key contributor to the business unit and be an integral part of the team to bring the overall growth of the business unit to the next level with their vision and experience. 

The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to combine creative storytelling with technical information. This individual will have strong and proven experience in global product commercialization, will develop marketing content and will outline complex customer journeys that engage different levels of the customer’s value chain as part of the overall demand generation strategy. Success will require the ability to gain alignment of different stakeholders in a matrixed organization, to manage expectations, and to deliver on marketing deliverables for complex projects in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will develop integrated and multi-channel marketing strategies and the respective tactical calendar in order to achieve the marketing KPIs and overall chromatography business unit and Repligen company revenue targets. 

This role will report to the Global Director of Strategic Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product management, Business Leaders and Commercial leaders in developing strategic, integrated marketing plans utilizing customer segmentation, market trends and competitive analysis.
  • Lead the development and execution of effective marketing campaigns to drive growth and adoption of key product lines and solutions, and ultimately generate high quality marketing qualified leads.
  • Develop actionable workplans and roadmaps that align with business objectives, timelines, and budget to deliver on the agreed tactics; lead internal teams and vendors in material development and program implementation. 
  • Communicate and drive alignment on priorities, key initiatives, and messaging. 
  • Create and manage the customer facing story. Transform highly technical content into engaging, conversational, SEO/SEM-optimized, and customer-focused digital content for multiple channels including web and social, delivering a powerful value proposition and product differentiation 
  • Responsible for writing and graphical conception for technical guides, e-mail campaigns, video production, product web page and customer presentations with clear, concise, technically accurate and effective compositions 
  • Together with the Product Management and Applications Team, build a strategic partnership through technical collaboration with external customer and internal stakeholders to produce technical data for creation of impactful technical collateral. 
  • Successfully engage with internal creative/design team to create technically accurate and impactful graphics and creative content 
  • Collaborate with the digital team and stakeholders to measure and report content effectiveness through KPIs. Use insights from various sources of analytics to improve content and content strategies as well as to optimize campaigns when necessary. 
  • Act as a business unit partner to the Global Marketing team - a true strategic marketer and brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and representing the business unit strategy in all aspects of the global marketing ecosystem. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field a plus, MBA preferred. 
  • 3 years of experience in biopharma/bioprocess technologies or science writing, journalism, copyrighting, or writing marketing communication materials for the life sciences – biopharma downstream purification experience a plus 
  • Passion for learning about science, technology, healthcare, and innovation and the ability to turn complicated to compelling, developing creative, engaging and accurate content in a concise, clear, jargon-free way 
  • Candidate should have a working knowledge of brand marketing, market/customer segmentation, value proposition development, competitive analysis, marketing communications, and digital and traditional Go-to-Market strategies. 
  • Experience working on a variety of marketing campaigns from inception to completion. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and copy-editing skills; careful attention to detail, and ability to work to a corporate style guide. Experience creating content for web and social media. 
  • Ability to rapidly absorb detailed product information and translate it into correct messaging to be used across all tactics. 
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects with competing priorities. 
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to work well within the department and cross-functionally and to solve for the “big picture”. 
  • Superb cross-functional, project management and leadership skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. 
  • Comfortable in a global, fast-paced, always-on, highly matrixed environment. 
  • Experience managing projects horizontally in a matrixed organization 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design) a plus 
  • Travel up to 10% of the time may be required to visit customers, lead tradeshows and support sales teams in the field. 

This position may be remote with a preference for the Greater Boston area.
