Role Description:
Repair Clinic is looking for an experienced appliance technician to support diagnostics development with the Repair Intelligence platform team. This role will work collaboratively with the content production team, analytics team, and other SMEs to leverage appliance repair experience and create documentation of diagnostic & repair procedures across brands and appliance types. This role will be a key member of the team developing tools for large service networks to increase service efficiency by identifying likely repairs in advance of service visits.
Key responsibilities:
- Review existing documentation of repair procedures and diagnostic steps based on appliance type and customer complaint combinations.
- Develop and document diagnostic steps as needed for brand, appliance type, and customer complaint combinations.
- Perform quality control analysis of diagnostics to determine improvement needs and communicate feedback effectively with the data analysis team.
- Collaborate with the content production team to specify relevant helpful media such as images and videos to support diagnostic steps.
Required Qualifications:
- Required: Deep experience with appliance field repair, whether through OEM factory service, dealer/national service networks, or independent service organizations.
- Preferred: Experience with digital tools associated with appliance repair.
- Understanding of differences in appliance engineering platforms across brands and appliance types to assess and document repair procedures.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office to create and edit documentation of diagnostic steps & repair procedures – simple Microsoft Word and/or Powerpoint.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team to develop content for repairs and receive constructive feedback from 3rdparty sources that may offer differing opinions.
- Strong attention to detail for quality assurance review of existing repair procedures and diagnostic steps.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
