ASSOCIATE TERRITORY MANAGER

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for sales growth of the existing and new products within their assigned territory. The Territory Manager (TM) develops and implements sales strategies to achieve and exceed territory sales goal and objectives across all sales channels.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Attain or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual territory sales goals/ objectives for all products
  • Promote regional effort in High Value Target Initiatives by leveraging industry-leading product lines to drive revenue while benefitting the customers financially and strategically
  • Demonstrate collaborative teamwork with Sales Management, internal personnel, and distribution channel partners
  • Make effective use of all resources to sustain optimum performance and efficiency with a focus on growth and profitability
  • Conduct a minimum of 20 calls per week 
  • Call on High Value Customers 3x/quarter (12 times yearly)
  • Completion of New Hire Training within first month and Training Modules within first 3 months of employment and timely completion of any added/ongoing modules or in person trainings with a passing score of 90%
  • Maintain an acceptable level of technical competency, 90% or above
  • Responsible for monthly demos and trials of all products to drive sales by requesting products to be tracked and billed out or returned monthly by TM/Customer
  • Have weekly or bi-weekly calls with your Regional Sales Manager to discuss opportunities/challenges
  • Accommodate Regional Sales Manager co-rides as needed or requested
  • Participation on conference calls and company meetings
  • Represent in State, Regional, & National Trade Shows when needed 
  • Schedule personalized sales presentations to medical professionals 
  • Submit accurate and timely territory and expense reports to management or internal staff
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and ensure compliance with company policies on travel and entertainment, gifts and the 2010 Bribery Act
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to effectively grow territory 
  • Assist Regional Sales Manager when assigned with activities such as launch of sales initiatives, analyses of competitive threats and counter strategies, and coordination of sales meetings
  • Respond promptly to the needs of the customer (internal/external)
  • Utilize all tools at their disposal i.e., literature, studies, and promotional materials in a strategically planned manner consistent with our sales and product direction
  • Use industry, clinical, technical, and competitive knowledge to overcome objections and effectively implement sales and product strategies
  • Effectively and efficiently organizes territory call planning; sets customer priorities and schedules activities
  • Complies with both the spirit and letter of applicable laws and regulations
  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner
  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of company data including new product information, marketing strategies, discount programs, pricing information and other proprietary business information.
  • Adheres to Company Core Values, policies, and procedures 
  • Maintain and improve Health & Safety best practice to insure highest level of production in accordance with company policy and ISO Standards
  • Provide regular and predictable attendance considering any rights to leaves provided by law or company policy
  • Perform all essential job functions without posing a direct threat of harm to yourself or others

GENERAL QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

  • Minimum of associates degree required, preferably in a life science or business discipline.
  • 3 years in direct field sales, preferably in medical products and or pharmaceuticals
  • Minimum 1 year experience in B2B sales
  • Knowledge and familiarity with prosthetic or medical environment, preferred
  • Consistent high level of sales performance and recognition of excellence
  • Strong verbal communications skills and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer facing skills and highly professional demeanor
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office 
  • Knowledge of SalesForce sales management tracking systems, experience preferred
  • Ability to integrate, communicate, contribute, and thrive in a team environment with all levels and departments
  • It may be necessary to work outside of normal business hours
  • Strong client relationship, prospecting, leadership, organizational, analytical, task and time management skills
  • Attention to detail, especially regarding documentation and adherence to processes
  • Ability to Travel up to 80%, dependent upon territory
  • Ability to receive and analyze data
  • Willingness to learn 
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Strong work ethic, punctual and reliable 
  • Valid driver’s license (car allowance) 
  • Ability and clearance to travel 

TRADITIONAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires regularly talking and hearing
  • Requires ability to prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and walking.
  • Requires ability to Travel up to 80%, dependent upon territory; Clearance to travel and valid driver’s license
  • Requires the ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Requires eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity and a normal range of hearing and vision (with or without correction)
