Total Industries is Hiring a Rental and Sales Solutions Specialist Near Pacheco, CA

Description

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for customers and a background in renting and/or selling Golf and Utility vehicles or related equipment. As our Rental & Sales Solutions consultant, you will spend your days generating revenue by renting and selling Golf & Utility Vehicles to customers that visit our Pacheco, CA facility as well as businesses within your assigned territory. Inside sales and/or customer service experience is required; and we’ll be especially excited if your sales experience is in golf or utility cart sales. You’ll be most successful if you are a self-starter that can work independently. The position also requires good communication and organizational skills, professional telephone skills, and solid computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office 365.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales

  • Meet sales objectives by quoting, renting, selling, up-selling, and cross-selling solutions to walk-in customers and those who call in with an inquiry. 
  • Serve as the main contact for Golf & Utility sales, rental and service at our Pacheco, CA. facility.
  • Seek to understand customer needs and recommend suitable equipment to meet their requirements whether renting or buying. 
  • Demonstrate golf cart and utility products and accessories to walk-in customers. 
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations to customers. 
  • Proactively identify, call and email potential customers to generate new business. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to promote equipment rental and sales.
  • Ensure customer information is kept up to date in company systems.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. 
  • Attend industry events to network and generate leads as assigned.

Customer Service

  • Answer phones and receive mail for Rental Department, serving as main contact for branch. 
  • Validate customer equipment needs and desired schedule. 
  • Submit quotes, credit application, and insurance requirements to customers. 
  • Collect insurance certificates from customers and enter in CRM. 
  • Maintain communication with customers, providing status throughout the rental process. 

Rental Equipment Management

  • Maintain and track the Golf & Utility rental fleet and ensure that all equipment is always prepped, charged/fueled and ready to be rented.
  • Open service work orders for repairs and prep of rental equipment (hand-off to Service Advisor.)
  • Receive and log new rental equipment in our CRM. 
  • Inspect and photograph all rental equipment upon return.
  • Coordinate and schedule rental returns and deliveries. 
  • Inspect all rental equipment upon return.

Rental Contract Management

  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with customers. 
  • Invoice customers for rental equipment upon delivery.
  • Ensure equipment is ordered, delivered, and invoiced according to plan.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of experience in a combination of inside sales, telemarketing, and/or customer service. 
  • Must be comfortable with cold calling and working to meet established sales objectives. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities. 
  • Excellent judgement, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and organization skills. 
  • Ability to operate and drive demo vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to act in a way that is consistent with our values. 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Qualified DMV record, drug screen and background check. 

Desired

  • Experience in sales or rental of Industrial Machinery / Utility or Golf carts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position operates in a professional office environment with the requirement to visit and walk around a warehouse and outdoors in varying degrees of temperature.
  • Spend most days seated at a desk, working at a computer terminal to input data, handle phone calls, and exchange texts.
  • Use computer as a telephone, messenger, and work tool, so expect to wear a headset and use both a keyboard and mouse frequently through the day. 
  • Regularly sit, stand, and walk for long and short distances. 
  • Hear with or without correction to be able to interpret and receive information and directions. 
  • Communicate, verbally and in written form, on a regular basis in order to describe and explain detailed, important, and accurate instructions internally and directly with customers. 
  • Occasionally lift and/or move material up to 50lbs. 
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. 
  • Noise level is usually moderate.
