Description

Renew Digital is searching for a highly skilled and motivated Computer Technician to join our team! This is a part-time opportunity to work for the leading provider of high-quality, certified pre-owned dental X-ray equipment in the United States.

This is an on-site position, Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 6pm EST. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

You should have a strong understanding of building and supporting desktop operating systems, regularly think outside the box to solve problems quickly, and understand what impeccable customer service is all about. As a Computer Technician, you will be responsible for 

1) building, staging, and shipping customer desktop computers in preparation for X-ray installations, 

2) repairing computers and performing technical and system diagnostics as required, and 

3) reviewing hardware and software requirements with customers prior to X-ray installation, and 

4) installing and configuring software prior to and following X-ray installation.

You will also:

• Build, stage, and ship desktop computers in preparation for X-ray installation.
• Repair or replace computer systems when necessary.
• Review hardware, software, and network requirements with all customers prior to X-ray installation.
• Assist users via phone and remote desktop applications to install, upgrade, and maintain software and related peripherals, as needed.
• Provide remote support to customers and customer systems as needed.
• Document customer communication and interaction for proper record-keeping.
• Utilize the escalation process to resolve customer service issues.
• Work as a member of the Support Team to provide efficient and cost-effective service delivery to internal and external customers.
• Create and maintain job-related product and technical documentation.
• Ship PCs, parts, and other items as needed. Updates CRM with shipping details.
• Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 2 year Associate’s or IT degree or equivalent experience 
• 1-2 years of relevant technical experience, experience as a Computer Technician preferred.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize projects effectively 
• Strong understanding of Microsoft and Apple operating systems 
• Proven customer interpersonal and communication skills 
• Experience identifying, troubleshooting and resolving basic computer hardware, software, networking, internet and peripheral problems 
• Experience installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining computer hardware software and peripherals 
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• CompTIA A Certification preferred
• Remote desktop support preferred
