· Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders

· Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including the supervision of therapy technician

· Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures, maintain patient records, and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment

Requirements

· Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in this state

· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

· Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion

· Must be knowledgeable of respiratory therapy procedures

· Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel

· Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., of the respiratory therapy service
