Job Description Summary The primary role of this position is to increase the market share of the Corporate market for the Royal Sonesta Boston by growing the Group Meeting segments. Key focus will be on new business development and prospecting repeat business. Job Description Growing new accounts Conduct Weekly Outside Sales Calls, Presentations, Site Inspection Tours Contract Negotiations Develop and Maintain excellent relationships Attending Trade Shows on behalf of the Hotel Additional Job Description Prospect group meetings business Conduct daily/weekly sales calls, as indicated by the annual Marketing Plan Handle all correspondence as it pertains to contracts, proposals, follow up correspondence Entertain clients at the Hotel and conduct site inspections Prospect using intelligence sources to expand account base Establish familiarization with competition on a quarterly basis Meet monthly booking goals, as indicated by the yearly Marketing Plan Communicate all account information to the appropriate departments via in-house database Execute additional projects as assigned by the Director of Group Sales Ideal candidate would have local Boston/Cambridge market knowledge and knows the Delphi account system Quarterly business travel is required to attend trade shows and/or sales calls Benefits Sonesta recognizes that benefits play a vital role in helping ensure the health and financial security of employees and their families.
