Job Description Summary The primary responsibility of the Benefits Administrator is to provide support to the Benefits team of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation. This high-exposure role provides a wide range of support activities that require benefits knowledge, excellent attention to detail, time management skills, client service and organizational skills, professional written and verbal communication, discretion with confidential information and the ability to multi-task. Job Description Key Job Functions Prepare and maintain new hire binders/folders and other employee benefit communications, including the benefits newsletters and the HR SharePoint sites. Team with HRIS team to help launch and support new Workday Employee and Manager Self Service system. Assist employees with benefits enrollment forms; ensure all required information is supplied and forms are complete. Collect new hire paperwork and enroll new hires in appropriate benefits. Process all monthly benefit premium payments in a timely manner; audit eligibility lists to ensure ongoing accuracy. Assist with the annual benefits open enrollment process. Complete data entry of new hires, terms and benefits information in HRIS system on a daily/weekly basis. Create and maintain I-9 files, employee files and benefits files. Prepare termination letters and terminate employees from appropriate benefits. Monitor COBRA reporting, adjusting enrollment records as needed Monitor and track completion of the Code of Ethics, Employee Handbook and Anti-Harassment Policy. Manage and process tuition reimbursement requests. Compile data and materials for the annual 401(k) audits. Assist with ongoing projects, as requested. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description. Additional Job Description A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent One to two years related experience or equivalent Commitment to excellence and high standards Excellent written and oral communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities and workflow Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Acute attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Strong interpersonal skills Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions and to be resourceful when needed Ability to deal effectively with a diverse population of individuals at all organizational levels Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Benefits Sonesta recognizes that benefits play a vital role in helping ensure the health and financial security of employees and their families.
