Responsibilities

REI is looking for a Software Engineer with experience in building and enhancing test automation frameworks to join our team. In this role, you will be part of the Development and Quality Assurance team responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products through software testing principles, test automation, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving. Your contributions will make an impact on the critical missions of our government clients, solving challenges that aim to improve millions of lives across the globe.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Be an integral part of a scrum team participating in the full software development lifecycle including requirements, solution design, development, QA, implementation
• Develop, modernize, and make enhancements to an existing application or new enterprise microservice application
• Write automated unit test cases to support test driven development (TDD)
• Support verification and validation of software by supporting Quality Assurance team
• Create new or maintain existing CI/CD pipelines
• Identify the testable requirements and prepare the test strategy for each of the testing types identified
• Write comprehensive test plans for functional, regression, acceptance and stress testing
• Perform Functional, regression, performance test execution
• Perform application and security code scans and support the remediation of scan findings
• Design and develop automated test scripts for Regression testing
• Conduct and facilitate the UAT at the client site
• Perform production verification after software install
• Assist in post-production support-such as end-users support; troubleshooting of issues on relevant production like environments
• Contribute to daily stand-up meetings and sprint retrospectives
• Other similar professional duties maybe assigned as needed

Qualifications:

• 1 to 4 years of experience in 2 or more frameworks or programming languages - Angular 2 , JavaScript, jQuery, React, or Node.js
• 1 to 4 years of experience in 1 or more frameworks or programming languages such as ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET, C#,.Net Framework and Entity Framework
• At least 1 year of experience with JSON, AJAX, XML\XSLT, HTTP, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML5, CSS3
• At least 1 year of experience in relational database development preferably using SQL Server 2012/Oracle or T-SQL Programming (e.g. Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, etc.)
• A demonstrated understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) including RESTful Service frameworks (Web API)
• Working knowledge of testing frameworks like XUnit, NUnit, Jest, JMeter Selenium or Cypress
• He/she should be proficient in assisting developing test strategy, test plan and test cases for complex domain models such as workflow oriented, data migration and web-based applications.
• Familiarity with working in an Agile Scrum environment
• Strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, physics, or related discipline is preferred
• An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 3 years of experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Sonar Qube, TFS etc.
• Knowledge of section 508 compliance design principles
• Experience in developing responsive websites and mobile apps
• Experience using GitHub or other Git-based source control systems
• Experience in one or more the following frameworks and tools: DI, Dapper, NuGet packages, logging (log4net, NLog)
• Experience with gulp, webpack, or rollup is desirable

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience preferred

Clearance: US citizenship required in order to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance

Location/Hybrid: Position is hybrid, requiring travel to the customer's Washington, DC offices and/or Sterling, VA one day per week.
