Job Description
The Payment Specialist primary job responsibilities will be processing deposits, tracking revenue and posting insurance payments to patient accounts via an EHR Software. This person must be results oriented, detailed and interested in financial accounting and reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Full EOB process from: deposit -> posting to patient accounts
- Utilization of Clearing House to process 835 Files
- Reporting weekly, monthly and yearly revenue for all clinics to direct management
- Researching, responding and issuing (if necessary) Insurance Refunds/Overpayments
- Auditing patient accounts if necessary to confirm accuracy
- Provide assistance to team members with questions pertaining to EOB's or patient accounts
- Assist and provide excellent customer service to patients/clients with accounting questions.
Skills/Qualifications
Medical Office experience, Quick books, Attention to Detail, Multi-tasking, Telephone Skills, Time Management, Organization, Flexibility, Professionalism, Prioritization, Excel.
