Position Summary
This position reports to the Director of Case Management and oversees the operations of Social Services Department. Plans, directs and coordinates all operational activities for areas of responsibility. Develops policies and procedures as well as the quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility. Develops the capital and operating budgets in areas of responsibility. Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed by hiring and retaining competent staff. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Responsible for maintaining acceptable turnover in areas of responsibility. Ensures operations run within budgetary guidelines. Responsible for positive employee engagement and appropriate communication with staff. Responsible for quality and performance improvement activities in department and multidisciplinary. Responsible for positive customer satisfaction results. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines as set by federal, state, and local and other agencies (i.e JCAHO, Medicare, CMS) Facilities positive productive relationships with physicians.

Our exclusive and specialty medical services in nine hospitals and six surgical centers throughout two states, provides a full spectrum of primary, acute, tertiary and chronic care for our patients. Our specialized care areas focus on advancing the science of medicine while providing high quality, life-saving technology and patient-focused care.
Regional Medical Center of San Jose is a 264 bed acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. The hospital provides a host of technologically-advanced services including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric and General Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology and services for Women. Regional holds Joint Commission advanced certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Get with the Guidelines- Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. It is a certified Chest Pain Center, county-designated STEMI (heart attack) Receiving Center, designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, a member of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ECMO) and is certified by The Joint Commission in Sepsis care.
