Archery Summit, located in the heart of Oregon’s Dundee Hills AVA, has been crafting iconic Pinot Noirs for the last 30 years. In addition to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay has recently been added to the portfolio sourced from our estate vineyards. Extremely detailed efforts in farming, harvesting, and winemaking have helped us produce high quality, focused wines from our LIVE certified vineyards as we begin to eliminate herbicide and move towards biodynamic farming on our five Dundee Hill estate sites. We embrace traditional winemaking techniques while utilizing cutting edge technology, enabling us to craft wines of intent and finesse.

Position Summary

Archery Summit Winery is seeking seasonal harvest interns for the 2023 vintage. The job will focus on all aspects of the winemaking process including but not limited to: Fruit receival, sorting and processing fruit, juice/wine additions, monitoring fermentations, pumpovers/punchdowns, cleaning of tanks and equipment, washing/prepping/filling barrels on stillage, digging out fermenters, operating forklifts, pulling sample for analysis and assisting with lab analysis when needed, maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility.

Candidates must have a good team player attitude and strong work ethic as we will be working long hours in a variety of conditions. Must be able to lift 50lbs and be willing to work weekends and some evenings as needed throughout harvest. Positive attitude is a must and prior cellar/harvest experience is a plus. Enthusiastic candidates will have a great opportunity to learn techniques both in winemaking and cellar operations and much as we look forward learning from you.

The position will likely start in late August/early September and run through October/November but may have opportunity to start earlier for harvest prep and possibly post-harvest bottling preparations.

The projected hourly pay range for this position is $17-20 per hour. The range is the projected compensation for this position however the actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as (but not limited to) candidate qualifications, related experience and education, candidate work location and market data.
