About us

Red Rock Pharmacy is a growing closed door, long-term-care pharmacy leading the way in pharmacy innovation. Job Description:

We are looking to hire technicians for both our production/fill line and data entry. Production techs are tasked with filling prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency in unit-dose packaging, occasionally preparing non-sterile and sterile compounds, managing inventory, and preparing for future orders. Data Entry technicians are tasked with triaging phone calls from nurses and doctors in the nursing homes we service, entering prescriptions into our system with accuracy and efficiency, creating new patient profiles for admitting patients, processing the billing, and troubleshooting a variety of issues. Because we are closed-door, there is little to no direct interaction with patients. A typical day is fast-paced but rewarding!

 Responsibilities may include:

  • Prepare, packaging, and label medications in blister cards and vials
  • Prepare non-sterile and sterile compounds
  • Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
  • Process inbound prescriptions and billing of prescriptions using computer software
  • Understanding the unique laws and preferences in long-term-care pharmacy
  • Triage phone calls from other health professionals
  • Utilize our software to change, update, and print labels
  • Measure dosage of medications and perform simple calculations
  • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a long-term or retail pharmacy preferred
  • Strong attentional to detail
  • Good work ethic
  • Sharpened ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Our Benefits

  • Generous Paid Time Off plan for full-time employees
  • Highly competitive compensation rates.

  • Vast network of people, information, and resources to help you achieve your professional goals.

Compensation is dependent on experience.
