The Master Technician is responsible for assessing, repairing, updating and inspecting cars to the highest standards. This position is also responsible of supporting and training fellow technicians. It reports directly to the Supervisor Repair and Stop Order.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform diagnostic evaluation, programming, and transport mode on vehicles using VWGoA diagnostic tools.
• Repair vehicles at PQT.
• Perform quality audits or inspection.
• Create repair estimates for damaged cars.
• Perform repairs on major component systems; both mechanical and electrical/digital.
• Place parts orders as required.
• Train colleagues on OEM work instructions, guidance, and repair procedures.
• Ensure that all repairs meet the highest possible level of customer satisfaction and quality standards.
• Alert Supervisor of any unusual or reoccurring faults with vehicles.

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or the equivalent, GED
• 8 ASE certifications A1-8, preferred
• 4 ASE certifications (any 4 from A1-A8) required
• 7-10 Years automotive experience
• Volkswagen Audi Technical Training, preferred
• Extensive Volkswagen and/or Audi product knowledge
• Experience with VW/Audi diagnostic tools and equipment programs
• OEM Automotive Industry Tool & Equipment knowledge
• Valid US Driver's License and ability to drive manual (stick-shift).

DESIRED:

• German and/or Spanish language skills
