Needed — Full Time Assistant in Medical Practice
Immediate opening for full time assistant in fast paced medical practice. Our practice is looking for a responsible person needed to assist providers with patient care. The new hire must be a team player and willing to work together in order to provide the best patient care possible for our practice. You will be expected to assist with daily duties if a peer is out and also have the desire and compassion to assist your peers so that no one falls behind in work loads.

We operate as a team, succeed as a team as well as fail as a team so it is extremely important that we work as a team day in and day out.

Person MUST BE reliable and detail oriented.

Primary hours are 8:00am — 5:00pm Monday — Friday

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Answering phone calls and taking down appropriate phone messages.
• Properly routing information to appropriate staff
• Scanning patient documents into charts appropriately
• Maintaining appropriate provider schedule daily
• Making sure that proper patient documentation is in chart for patient office visits daily
• Scribing physicians verbal dictation during patient exam.
• Sending required lab, procedure, medications, etc to appropriate facilities or pharmacies as dictated by physician.
• Medical terminology required
• Responsible for preparing exam room for daily patient care
• Responsible for communicating to the patients regarding their plan of care as dictated by physician.
• Position requires excellent computer skills, customer service and flexibility.
• Confidentiality and dependability required
• Candidate must be personable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
- Experience in medical office settings, including transcription, medical documentation, and medical records management
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent typing skills
- Previous experience in Otolaryngology practice setting is a plus
- Strong computer skills
- Exceptional customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
