Due to their growth, we are seeking to hire an experienced National Account Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing international company. As a key member of their sales and account management team, you will be responsible for driving initiatives with clients that will include building a complete network and relationships with decision makers involved in the Thrive relationship, while developing and executing on a strategic plan that addresses retention as well as growth opportunities. This role requires frequent contact with multiple client team members as you develop a collaborative relationship that will be focused on building a successful long-term partnership.

The ideal candidate will have current national account management experience within the food and beverage distribution industry, along with an innate ability to cultivate strong customer relationships.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Understand client’s needs/goals and develop plans and solutions to address them.
  • A demonstrated knowledge of all Thrive products.
  • A demonstrated knowledge of the client’s industry including trends, competition, and an understanding of the client’s strategic plan.
  • Identify client’s key staff to cultivate profitable relationships and build broad networks.
  • Resolve complaints/issues quickly and effectively.
  • Hands on support of entire client ecosystem (order processing, DC support, product documents, innovation support, culinary presentations, etc.).
  • Support Operations and Sourcing with information to facilitate execution of the client forecast.
  • Collaborate with client to develop a strategic marketing plan.
  • Build and maintain deep knowledge of client’s industry and competitors.
  • Build and maintain complete understanding of client’s internal processes, strategies, KPIs, and goals.
  • Leverage contacts to generate leads and networking opportunities.
  • Build strong internal cross-departmental relationships.
  • Lead cross-departmental projects at Thrive from start to resolution (marketing, innovation, sourcing, etc.)
  • Consistent use of CRM and other company software systems.
  • Support strategic expo/events put on by client.
  • Agree to a minimum of 30% travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least five years of account management experience within the food and beverage industry.
