Recruit Secure is collaborating with a beautiful, and highly rated Skilled Nursing Home (99 beds) in the Wayne, NJ area that is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager for direct hire. The Unit Manager will be responsible for directing the nursing staff and overall operations of the assigned Nursing Unit. Additionally, the Unit manager supports the Director of Nursing in achieving a high level of patient care and supports the patients, families, and staff. The successful candidate will have experience as an RN in a Skilled Nursing Home and has successfully mentored and supervised staff, interacted with all levels of interdisciplinary teams and Physicians, and is familiar with DOH regulations We are seeking a caring, compassionate, and kind professional, interested in growing their career. Responsibilities:
  • The Unit Manager handles all supervisory duties for the unit.
  • Help establish and implement employee policies and procedures.
  • Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice.
  • Maintain the standards of care for the unit.
  • Review of Resident records & quality of care.
  • Monitor overall care & review individual Residents’ cases
  • Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families.
  • Represent the unit's interests with upper-level management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years Long Term Care Experience
  • At least 1 year of Charge Nurse or Supervisory experience
  • Must hold a valid NJ RN License
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
